November 10 Staff Professional Development---APS closed
November 11 Veteran's Day--APS closed
November 24 & 25 Fall Conferences---no classes; parent-teacher conferences will be held; office will be open
November 26-28 Thanksgiving Break—APS closed
December 22-31 Winter Break—APS closed
January 1 & 2, 2026 Winter Break--APS closed
January 5, 2026 Avenue Preschool reopens from Winter Break
January 19 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day---APS closed
February 16 President's Day---APS closed
March 2, 2026 Community Registration for the 2026-27 school year (8:30-10:30 a.m.). No classes. Office will be open for
on-site, in-person registration. Details will be posted on the "News & Events" page.
April 2 Spring Conference Prep--no classes; office will be open
April 3-10 Spring Break---APS closed
April 13 APS reopens from Spring Break
April 20 Spring Conferences--no classes; parent-teacher conferences will be held; office will be open
May 18 Last Day for 3 day classes
May 19 Last Day for 2-day, 4-day & 5-day classes
May 20, 21, 22 Snow make-up days if needed
Weather or Emergency Closures:

In the case of adverse weather situations or local emergency---by 7:00 a.m. Avenue Preschool will post a cancellation notice as our “greeting” on the office phone # 302-422-8775 and on our Facebook page.

Cancellation decisions are subject to change if weather conditions worsens later in the morning.

Avenue Preschool does not have delayed openings. We do not delay our opening for fog and we do not delay for snow/ice.

If Avenue Preschool remains open during an adverse weather situation, we trust that you will use your own judgment as you consider the safety of the road conditions in your area.
